SVS has announced the new 1000 Pro Series subwoofers. Each model boasts an all-new 12-inch high-excursion SVS driver and a 325 watts RMS, 820+ watts peak power Sledge STA-325D amplifier with discrete MOSFET output to produce bass with pinpoint control and accuracy. Harnessing the power is a 50 MHz Analog Devices DSP, which ensures precise low frequency output at the proper levels. Also standard on both models is the SVS subwoofer control smartphone app.
Comprised of the SB-1000 Pro sealed cabinet and PB-1000 Pro ported cabinet models, each new SVS subwoofer features advancements to the driver, amplifier, cabinet, and overall user experience.
Powering the 1000 Pro Series is a Sledge STA-325D amplifier that combines the high current output of discrete MOSFETs with Class D efficiency. Boasting 325 watts RMS and 820+ watts peak power and low distortion, the design unleashes nearly limitless on-demand power to the driver, while maintaining precise driver control.
Harnessing the power of the Sledge amplifier is a 50 MHz Analog Devices Audio DSP with 56-bit filtering. According to SVS, the processing power maintains pristine sound quality that’s faithful to the source material through advanced in-room tuning, optimized frequency response curves, powerful DSP controls and more.
The proprietary SVS design features a dual ferrite magnet motor assembly with long-throw parabolic surround for extreme excursion with room-pressurizing SPLs. A lightweight and rigid aluminum vented cone with composite fiber dustcap moves large amounts of air to create tactile sonic energy without losing control.
Launched originally with the flagship SVS 16-Ultra subwoofers, the 1000 Pro also features convenient control and custom presets via the SVS subwoofer DSP smartphone app for Apple, Android, and Amazon devices. The SVS app provides a way to control volume, access multiple DSP functions, and program custom presets for one-touch tuning optimized for music, movies, gaming, and more. Uses can also adjust crossover frequencies, a three-band parametric EQ, polarity, room gain and more, all from their favorite seat.
The 1000 Pro Series are built with an extra thick MDF front baffle and rigid internal bracing to support the drive unit and to ensure an acoustically inert environment. The highly reinforced internal design eliminates any chance of coloration or resonance from the cabinet, even when the deepest low frequencies are played at high volume.
