Stealth Acoustics has unveiled its LineaRadiance (L-RAD) family of speakers and subwoofers, the next evolution of Stealth Acoustics’ flat radiating diaphragm speakers.
Offering a flexible solution for every interior aesthetic, the speakers become completely invisible after installation in a wall or ceiling. On-site finishing options include latex paint, light wallpaper, fabrics, and selected texture coats, leaving no visual footprint.
In addition to maintaining the aesthetic integrity of any space, the speakers also deliver the superior sound quality Stealth Acoustics is known for, in any application — residential or commercial. Whether for surround sound/home theater systems, multi-room audio setups, or background/foreground music, the L-RAD family will deliver discreet, high-performance audio that fills the room and delights listeners.
The completely redesigned L-RAD speakers include a whole host of new features, new internal components, and an integrated, acoustically tuned back box that is now an injection-molded component.
New components in the L-RAD family include the Fidelity Glass Advanced tuned and dampened fiber diaphragm, a new woofer mounting system for increased internal air volumes, an Easy-Tape tapered frame/diaphragm edge for improved finishing, and new transducer/exciter driver designs for increased performance and efficiency.
Nine models are planned for the LineaRadiance family, with the L-RAD 116 and the L-RAD 430 available now and seven additional models including a single-panel stereo model and two subwoofer models released within the coming year.
The L-RAD-116 2-way speaker boasts a 6.5-inch woofer mounted on an all-new 16- x 16-inch frame. The L-RAD 116 contains two independent protection circuits (high/mid-frequency and low-frequency sections) that automatically reset upon reduction of excessive amplifier power.
The L-RAD 430 is a 3-way speaker with dual high-power 8-inch woofers, a 30mm direct coupled neo-magnet mid-frequency driver, and a 25mm direct coupled neo-magnet high-frequency driver mounted on an all-new 16- x 30-inch frame. Advanced internal materials allow for smooth frequency extension from 20 kHz down to 35 Hz. The L-RAD 430 contains two independent protection circuits (high/mid-frequency and low-frequency sections) that automatically reset upon reduction of excessive amplifier power.
