Audiolab has launched its new flagship amplifier system: the 9000Q preamplifier and 9000P stereo power amplifier.
9000Q Preamplifier
- Digital Prowess: Featuring a cutting-edge ESS Sabre ES9038PRO DAC chip, the 9000Q supports high-resolution audio playback up to 32-bit/768 kHz PCM and DSD512, covering all major formats. Audiolab’s proprietary circuitry, including a Class A post-DAC active filter, ensures the ES9038PRO reaches its full sonic potential. Digital connectivity options abound, including a USB Type B input, four S/PDIF inputs (two coaxial and two optical), and Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD, LDAC, and other codecs.
- Analog Excellence: The 9000Q boasts four line-level analog inputs (three RCA and one balanced XLR), a dedicated MM phono stage, and a high-performance headphone amplifier. The phono stage delivers detail and clarity, specifically designed for moving magnet cartridges to avoid compromises inherent in dual MM/MC designs.
- Enhanced Control and Flexibility: A user-friendly 4.3-inch color display grants access to features like digital upsampling, input sensitivity adjustment, balance control, and new bass and treble tone controls adjustable in the analog domain. Balanced circuitry and a “Direct XLR” option ensure a fully balanced signal path for optimal performance with XLR-equipped components.
9000P Power Amplifier
The 9000P stereo power amplifier, with its sleek design matching the 9000 Series aesthetic, delivers an impressive 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms.
- Uncompromising Design: A dual-mono circuit topology with separate power supplies for each channel guarantees exceptional detail resolution and precise stereo imaging. Employing a Complementary Feedback (CFB) design, the output stage provides superior linearity and thermal stability.
- Effortless Power Delivery: A robust toroidal transformer, ample reservoir capacitance, and four output transistors per channel empower the 9000P to drive even demanding speakers with ease. The ability to bridge two 9000P units further expands its capabilities, boosting the output to 300W per channel into 8 ohms.
- Sonic Purity: Like the 9000Q, the 9000P benefits from Audiolab’s innovative mains filtering technology, effectively reducing noise and interference for a pristine audio signal.
Availability
The Audiolab 9000Q preamplifier and 9000P stereo power amplifier will be available in December 2024 in black or silver finishes.
