In our series of #RoadtoISE blogs, we’re talking with exhibitors about the hottest technologies and trends they’re looking to see at ISE 2019.
Q&A with Garth Lobban, Director of Marketing, Atlona.
Q: Why ISE?
GARTH LOBBAN: ISE has proven—especially the past few years—to be a premier show not only for the region, but the world. It is a place companies are comfortable introducing new products. I like meeting people from all over the world and listening to a different perspective of how the products impact their country. In turn, we adapt to the needs.
Q: What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
GL: The further adoption of HDR as more content becomes available. 4K/UHD is already a foregone conclusion: it’s here, and custom installers are building and deploying systems for their customers. But at Atlona, we are even more excited by the continued growth of HDR. For installations, HDR means that more sources and destinations will come to fruition. Our industry-first support for Dolby Vision offers another benefit for the HDR trend.
Q: How will your solutions inspire integrators?
GL: Our solutions, notably our OmniStream R-Type and Opus matrix switchers, will inspire installers to adopt 4K/UHD platforms that work for their customers today, whether circuit-based or on the IP network. And we will continue to inspire with new solutions moving forward as HDR signals grow more prevalent.
