High-End Rocky Mountain Home Keeps its Views with an Auton Concealed TV

Auton's custom ceiling lift conceals and reveals the outdoor display.

Auton - Rocky Mountain Install

Auton Motorized Systems has announced that Colorado AV integration firm Logic Integration selected the company’s customizable automated ceiling lift to create an elegantly concealed and easily controlled outdoor display installation for a state-of-the-art Colorado home. Striking the perfect balance between delivering a high-tech AV experience and ensuring nothing impeded the home’s incredible view of the Rockies, the lift allowed the integrator to tuck a flatscreen into the outdoor porch ceiling, which drops down effortlessly with a tap on the home automation controller.

“When it’s not in use, the display is completely hidden, so the homeowners can enjoy the mountains. And when it’s down, they get all the entertainment that they’re looking for — at the touch of a button,” says Tyler Bogart, vice president of sales, Logic Integration. “After the installation, we took a video of the lift coming down and sent it to the customer. They were stunned. We have done a lot of AV work for them before, but they’ve never had a display lift. It really provided a wow factor unlike anything else they’ve experienced.”

Auton manufactures more than 400 automated solutions that are built at the company’s manufacturing facility in California. Because every product is made to order, Auton can customize any design from its extensive collection of outdoor, projector, under-a-bed, and cabinet lifts. This allows integrators to work in one of two ways: completely customize the lift to their needs or work with the specifications of an off-the-shelf design. In either case, integrators never have to wait to start the build out.

From site navigation and project specification to receiving and installation, Bogart says working with Auton was an affirmation of the quality and detail that the company puts into its concealment solutions. The installation team was able to quickly navigate the company’s website to find the product and specifications they needed to get the project rolling, which is a critical element for an integration company that experiences a high volume of installations.

“In this day and age, it’s impossible to go without technology, but so often displays, AV devices, and other components don’t complement the room design or aesthetics, or they can disrupt breathtaking views,” says Art Walker, CEO, Auton Motorized Systems. “Logic Integration’s installation illustrates how our automated concealment solutions allow integrators, designers, and homeowners to work together to strike the perfect balance between an extraordinary high-tech AV experience and impeccable design.”
