HTSA Welcomes Newly Elected Members to Its Board of Directors

The Board is made up entirely of representatives from member companies.

Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) is member-owned and directed, led by a Board of Directors made up entirely of representatives from member companies, voted on by all members in an annual candidate selection and election process. This year, the election for new directors took place after the group’s successful HTSA 2020 Virtual Fall Conference. Candidates were afforded the opportunity to present themselves to the membership for consideration. The voting took place after the close of the conference and the election process is now complete.

“I have always maintained that HTSA’s ‘secret sauce’ to its long record of success is our extremely qualified and highly engaged dealer membership,” says Jon Robbins, executive director of HTSA. “The entire membership benefits from a Board of Directors made up of this brain trust consisting of some of the smartest business minds and hardest working individuals in technology today.”

This cycle, there were three board positions to be filled. The HTSA membership carefully considered each of the candidates and cast their votes in the days following the conference. The following three individuals were elected to those open board seats:

  • Mark Hoffenberg, AudioVisions, CA
  • Navot Shoresh. Spire Integrated Systems, MI
  • Andrew Davis, Gramophone, MD

Mark Hoffenberg: Mark is the CEO of AudioVisions, a California-based integration company with locations in Orange County, Los Angeles, San Rafael, Campbell, and Palm Desert. AudioVisions was founded in 1989 and now employs 90 people, making it one of the largest integration companies in the business. The company is a market leader in each of the markets it serves and is considered by many to be one of the most operationally progressive systems integration firms in the country.

Mark is an entrepreneur, engineer, inventor, and an out-of-the-box thinker with a creative flair and a visionary mindset. Of the three newly elected directors, Mark is the only one that is being re-elected to the board for a second consecutive term.

Navot Shoresh: Navot is the founder of Spire Integrated Systems, a leading integration company in Michigan. Spire Integrated Systems focuses on two key factors for business success — perform quality work and provide exceptional service. The company has aggressively invested in new technologies and vendors to help them to continue to embody their vision.

Navot says that, as a former member of the military, he learned to “pursue contact” or, in other words, find the challenges and solve them before they become too big to handle. He plans to do just that as the organization continues to navigate the choppy waters of the post-Covid business climate.

Andrew Davis: Andrew is the CEO of Gramophone, a large integration business based in Baltimore, MD. Gramophone has four locations, two lighting labs and design centers, and 100 employees. An innovator and market leader, Gramophone has a full service in-house electrical team, a design and build company, and, Andrew says, it continues to grow to meet the needs of their customers.

Andrew has been a real champion at Gramophone building relationships with members and vendors, introducing new business processes, working collaboratively within the HTSA community, and more.

Robbins adds: “I would like to thank outgoing board members Leon Shaw and Brian Hudkins for their ‘too many to count’ positive and impactful contributions to the consortium over the years. In many ways, Leon and Brian embody the best of what HTSA is all about — copious brilliant ideas, countless hours of hard work, and selfless giving of themselves for the betterment of the whole.”
